At Harvest with a Heart we wear two hats.  The first hat we wear is the Harvest with a Heart Charity Garden Market and it is the backbone of our organization.

One of our greatest goals is to bring local, fresh, and healthy produce to every person in our community regardless of income.

During the growing season, we take donations of excess garden produce from local farmers and gardeners and offer it back to the community at large.  One of our greatest goals is to bring local, fresh, and healthy produce to every person in our community regardless of income.  We want ALL families in our community to have the chance to benefit from this produce.

We offer the produce for a goodwill donation.  That donation then goes toward an organization in our community that helps enrich the Milford area.  A fun part of donating is getting to pick which organization your money benefits from the 9 canning jars that represent our charities (kids love to do this!). Of course, if you are able to give more in return for the produce, it is always appreciated.

All leftover produce at the end of market is made available to our Milford Harvest Food Pantry.  We try our hardest to minimize any waste – anything that is past it’s prime is then composted and used as fertilizer on the premises.
